Please check out the many Jamzu Strategy posts in the RFA Forums.

These posts are based on Jamzu contests held in 2010 on TouchArcade, including the Jamzu Move Champion 2010 contest, and two Jamzu Daily Double series. They are a gold mine of strategic ideas for players wishing to improve their game!

I’m working on organizing these posts, and many more ideas, into an a comprehensive Jamzu Strategy Guide. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, Click Here to read the the “Jamzu Strategy” posts in the RFA Forums.

Cheers,

Jamzu 1.41 has received a wonderful review on 148Apps.com. Thank you, Brad Hilderbrand and 148Apps!

Graphics / Sound Rating: ★★★★½
Game Controls Rating: ★★★★½
Gameplay Rating: ★★★★½
Replay Value Rating: ★★★★★

Overall Rating: ★★★★½

Summary: “Jamzu is a unique board game that will likely become a new addiction for a lot of players.”

Highlights:

“The game is a breath of fresh air and will likely be greatly enjoyed by those looking for a deep, competitive title.”

“The concept is simple, but the strategy behind the game is anything but.”

“They say there are no new ideas anymore, but Jamzu blows that notion completely out of the water. With elements of Chess, Checkers and Backgammon all coming together to create something entirely unique, Jamzu is a treat for anyone who can reach the “aha” moment and learn to play effectively.”

The review makes an excellent point about the current state of our Jamzu tutorial. We’ve tried to get as much good, clear and helpful info into the latest version of Jamzu as possible, but we can definitely improve here. We will be introducing a new, interactive tutorial very soon.

Also coming very soon: we have submitted Jamzu Lite to the App Store! Jamzu Lite will allow you to try both Jamzu game modes: Classic and DieDeck. You can get the hang of Jamzu, for free, before diving in deeper.

And more coming very soon: Jamzu Multiplayer with Game Center!

Cheers,
~Doug

A small but critical bug prevented Jamzu 1.40 from loading on devices not updated to the latest iOS 4.1. A bug fix update, Jamzu 1.41, has been created, tested, and submitted to Apple.

My apologies to users affected by this bug. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for playing Jamzu!

Please Note: There is a small but critical bug that will prevent Jamzu 1.40 from starting on devices using earlier than iOS 4.1. It has already been fixed and tested, and I am submitting the fix to Apple tonight. My apologies, and thank you for your patience!
