New skins and graphics; improved AI and Hint, and bug fixes. A must-have update! Cheers, Jamzu 1.3 for the iPhone and iPod touch will be ready in two weeks! The new skins are finished, and just need to finish the graphics redesign and will be ready to go. Very shortly after 1.3 (another week or two) will be 1.31, which will include OpenFeint. Shortly after that will be new Jamzu die-deck variants, move clocks, updated tutorial and help sections, and much more. Also coming very soon will be Jamzu for the iPad, with all the new skins and OpenFeint as well. In other news: Jamzu is the final game featured on Vol 80 of the Boardgame Babylon podcast! For some real proof of the new and improved Jamzu random number generator, we did some tests. We played nine games each on Expert level with the old and new versions: Old version: Average of 44 moves per game, with a range from 36 to 50 moves. New version: Average of 66 moves per game, with a range from 49 to 87 moves! This is a huge improvement in game play. Each game is truly more dynamic, with more chances for “back and forth” interplay, and more tactical and strategic opportunities. Really quite amazing! ~Doug Jamzu 1.21 is available in the App Store!

This is a bug fix update for the issue mentioned below. If you have already updated to to Jamzu 1.2, you can do a delete and reinstall to fix the bug now. There appears to be an issue for Jamzu players who do an update install with the new version (a new install or delete and reinstall should work fine). If Jamzu is updated, and the user selects the 2 player same device option, Jamzu will crash. This can be avoided, or fixed, with a clean install, or delete and reinstall, as mentioned. I am currently compiling a fix for this, and it should be submitted to Apple tonight. Thanks for your patience! Best, Jamzu 1.2 is available in the App Store!
